Description:SoftwareUpdateFix is Free program for Mac OS X developed by Tim Goeree This Applescript could fix a shattered OS X Software Update in the case of an flaw of this kind: "Make sure you have permissions to inscribe to /tmp/501/TemporaryItems/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate". This script copies the "tar" case needed by Software Update to the right spot. The "tar" case not being there is the cause of the problem, which is consequently fixed by this script. This script also repairs permissions in case that could be division of the problem. What's New: Version 1.1: Now includes the tar case. Some OSX installations seemed to miss the case on the assumed spot.
