Alphen is Shareware program for Windows developed by AHA! Software Inc.

A game representing anyone who enjoys a fast-paced word confound! Alphen presents you with several words of equal length, one above the other. The only trouble is that the letters have been mixed up: the letters are all in their proper positions from sinistral to moral, but most of them are in the wrong rows! Your only clue representing unscrambling the words is that you are told the category each one belongs to. The first word might be the name of a flower, the second a melodic instrument, and so on. Figuring abroad one word narrows the choosing of letters available representing those surviving, so each successive word gets easier to disentangle. But it's a race against spell. Alphen starts abroad easy then gets harder as the spell restriction goes poor in later rounds. The easiest smooth is fitting representing children of nearby 8-10 years; the hardest wish challenge diehard word confound fans.
